Sebring -- Who's Going?

I got my plane ticket and reserved my motel over the weekend -- I'll be arriving Thursday and leaving when the last dog is hanged.

Who else is going?

Hey Tim.Lad: check out www.SebringFans.com. It is a pretty good site done by local people-it seems. One of their gang ventures into the Sportscar forum.

I shall be there early on race day with a friend who is not a race buff, but who has been intrigued by years of listening to me. I may venture down on Friday too, but I don't know for certain.

I will arrive late SUN, 14 MAR to stay a friends house. MON & TUE I will be working as a marshal (possibly the Starter) for the test days. TUE PM I will meet "Racegypsy" & friend at registration and bring them to my friend's place. WED on I will be at my usual post in Race Control.

I'll be there hanging out in the World Challenge paddock and playing with flags on corners - at different times of course.

I'm taking my son (he's 18) to his first Sebring...I haven't been since 1989....

I'll drive in from Tampa on Wednesday morning and will be there until I wake up on Sunday (but I better wake up before 3 p.m.!)

Boy am I looking forward to the 5 days of racing down there!!!!

If any 10/Tenhs people want to designate a location where we can hook up in the facility, just let me know when and where...

I'll be there....

I'll be in the SWC paddock Friday morning, and have various commitments to Audi, BAM! (the former Orbit), Petersen/White Lightning, ACEMCO and Rand Racing ... but whenever you don't see me I will probably be at Audi. We have BIG PLANS for coverage of Le Mans!

I'd like to get together after 5 on Thursday or late on Friday -- or anytime during the race except at the 3 hour marks.

May I suggest Friday...after all, night practice is Thursday....

Since you (Liz, Mags, thebear, etc.) have specific things to accomplish while you are down there....

If you have a specific location or landmark (and a time)where the 10/tenths people should hook up on Friday, just post it on this forum and I'll be there.....

I haven't figured out which cell phone I'm taking on the trip yet, but I'll PM some of the attendees with it before I leave town so that you can hook up with me in case something isn't decided by the end of this week....

I look forward to meeting all of the Forum friends who will be down there!!!!

Bear, will you be at the marshalls' dinner? I think Mags and I will be there for part of it (I'm leaving that to her, she's the meetings maven).

Free food? Why of course!

On another note, "Blueflagger" will not be at Sebring.

See you there.
