TD new sponsor

Team Dynamik announces major new 2005 sponsor

At this weekend's Fosters Australian Grand Prix, South Australian based V8 Supercar Team, Team Dynamik will preview its new ‘Boomerang Phonecard’ racing livery.
"The partnership announced today between CardCall and Team Dynamik will build a strong brand presence for the Boomerang Phonecard backed by the quality and strength of CardCall. It will allow us to get the message out to the Australian public about the fantastic value for money the Boomerang Phonecard represents," said CardCall chief executive officer Steve Picton.

The Boomerang phonecard is the result of a unique marketing partnership between Team Dynamik and Australia's largest calling card company, CardCall.

CardCall phonecards are focused on providing access from any phone throughout Australia to over 250 countries around the world and from 45 countries back to Australia. You can also use a Boomerang phonecard to call anywhere in Australia, including calls to mobile. Calls made using the Boomerang phonecard are not charged the customary 'flagfall' per call and enjoy low per minute rates all day every day. Example rates are calling New Zealand Auckland for 3.9c per minute and the USA and Canada for an unbelievable 2.9c per minute.

"It is unique to be able to participate in the building of a business directly linked to the extensive brand exposure and promotional possibilities afforded by V8 Supercars," said Team Principal Kieran Wills.

"As a significant user of telecommunication services I have been amazed, and relieved, at the amount of money I have been able to save just using a Boomerang phonecard myself," said Wills.

In a promotional package to be announced at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, the first round of the 2005 championship, Boomerang phonecards will give customers and retailers the opportunity to win merchandise packs and hot laps in the teams V8 Supercars throughout the course of the season.

Team Dynamik are pleased to be able to participate in offering a product to V8 Supercar supporters that has real benefits to customers. Available from over 10,000 Retailers nationwide, customers are able to enjoy saving money on phone calls immediately upon purchasing a electronic phone card (and security PIN). As a special introductory offer, each initial purchase of a $30 or $50 Boomerang card receives an additional 10% bonus calling credit.

CardCall is one of Australia's largest prepaid communications providers, offering customers a range of communication services including pre-paid Phonecards, internet, long distance and mobile phone services. CardCall's products are available from over 20,000 retail outlets across Australia and that number is growing daily.

All CardCall phonecards have a common set of features including Direct Dial, World Dial, 9 languages, 24/7 Customer Service and more.

CardCall's corporate office is situated in Sydney with the Operations Office located on the Gold Coast. CardCall currently employs over 400 people.

Good on them for exploring unconventional avenues to find sponsorship. Its better than nicking someone else's hard work....

Taht sort of livery would really look good in different colours - red, black and white - if the logo of "Boomerang" is anything to go by.

I have to say well done to TD they announce the new sponsor and it's already updated on their webpage. Unlike Tasman who when I looked yesterday still didn't have DODO on their site

So does that mean if the Boom-erang livery looks just like the DooDoo livery from last year and Tasman now have DooDoo, does that mean that the TD & Tasman cars will be to each other what the HRT and HSVRT are?

Lets look at the major sponsors Team Dynamik has had since its been in V8 Supercars

Cedel
Southern Cross
World Industries
Roadships
Holy Grail
Dodo
Boomerang

So one has to wonder why do all these brands sponsor them then dump them as major sponsors?

Or perhaps they signed short term deals based on budget?

Well, we know that Holy Grail didn't really get going. It's owner ended up in court on fraud charges, I think.

Hit nail on hammer, sponsors do not DUMP teams, they are either signed to shorter contracts, just like any media product, you look for sponsorship/advertising, some sign up for a long campaign, some for shorter, as long as you have something then why rubbish it?

It is unsportsmanship-like comments like this that lower the standards of our highly reputable sport. Instead of jabbing at teams, perhaps back them a little and maybe our CHAMPIONSHIP as a whole will reap the rewards.

You dont see anyone calling Jordan, Minardi, Jaguar, etc "a joke" just because they have had difficulties, several trips to the FIA in france re rules, et al, and lack of sponsorship/change of sponsors.

Dynamik Gal, we also don't hear of Jaguar, Minardi, Jordan, or any other motorsport team testing illegally on rocket ranges, then making out as if your innocent etc etc etc. Dynamik have lost all creditibility in my opinion as a result of there blatant breaking of the rules.
