Who's entered Dubai GT race?

Mentioned on the 2006 rumours thread is a Zakspeed Saleen entered for the Dubai GT race for November?

Does anyone know more about this event and is it similar to the couple of races we saw late last year in Dubai and Bahrain?

I think i saw some of it on tv, David Brabham and Simonsen did well in a 550?

Who's entered so far and with what?

Think there's some confusion here - There are Dubai and Bahrain FIA GT races due in November,

The Bahrain GT Festival was a different thing altogether and isn't being repeated this year.

There is however going to be a 24 hour race in Dubai in January 2006 - No GT1 class for that one though

This year is a official FIAGT race, not a stand-alone event like last years. So expect a "common" entrylist.

Ah right, thanks Graham, i hadn't realised that the November races were part of the FIA series.

24 hours of Dubai sounds interesting though - however i'm fan of the bigger cars so a race like that without GT1 won't be as appealing.

Apparently, Zakspeed was supposed to enter the final 2 rounds. But they have been very "hush hush" about the project, only very small details has come out (and some of those details were not able to be confirmed).. so im a little skeptical at this point about seeing them on the grid in Dubai..

Is that 100% confirmed? I did read something about this over in the Gt-eins forums, but I have yet to get confirmation from Zakspeed themselves that they did indeed take delivery of the car and tested it. I sure hope its true though...

Good news for the championship, bad news for the coverage. With Eurosports love for Bouchut and Ortelli they'll probably move in with the Cirtek boys

Will be awesome to see them both in action though, and it'll be interesting where the russian boys stand without Bouchut.

They result will depend on how short Formenko will be in the car. He’s usually not the one who impresses by amazing speed.
