Nope, no tickets here. Got back from Donington last night to find the tickets for the following weekend (CSMA at Brands), but have just e-mailed Mildred to check I'm on the list for WTCC.

Got my tickets last week, postmark says the 10th, so you should be getting your tickets shortly.

I'll be there all 3 days.

Just found out that the hot laps they mention in the instructions at the end of the day Saturday aren't all the usual 'fat cats' getting a ride round. SEAT Sport UK have offered their guest rides to ordinary SEAT owners through SeatCupra.Net.

I understand that the Marshals Campsite is by "K" gate.
This is the area to the left of the Kentagon, and I should imagine alongside the Kart Track. It was hoped that parking would be in the Car Park behind the Kentagon (Yellow) but is now back in the Triangle in Scratchers Lane. The Paddock Entrance will be open all three days (Fri/Sat/Sun)

parking in the triangle?

Was that in the final instructions? anyway, no thanks - the forecast, here is for rain/showers for 3 days.
By Sunday night it might be a bit messy. See what else is available when I turn up. (like maybe turn right after paddock entrance gates & try for Yellow)

still, see y'aal Friday morning

I still haven't received any tickets. And if they don't come today or tomorrow I won't get them because I am driving down straight after work. Will I get in without them? 'Cos if not, there is no point me coming.

What time is sign on in the mornings? Is it ridiculously early like last year?

I am (probably) intending camping. Is the camp site the same one as was used for A1GP or is it nearer to the Kentagon?

See you (hopefully) on Saturday

PJ

Try e-mailing Mildred Wiltshire bhmarshals@msvracing.com and she might be able to leave tickets at the gate. I will pm you with her home phone number if you need to ask any more questions.

Good luck.

I read your post from yesterday.

I didn't understand where you meant.

I am not a Brands Hatch regular.

I can't visualise anywhere to the "left" of the Kentagon (standing where, for heaven's sake) where one could camp. Though the field I was asking about is (as far as I remember) kind of on the left as you drive in from the main entrance.

I thought I should ask for clarification.

I am obviously very stupid.

I am very sorry to trouble you.

PJ

I have to admit that, being an extreme Brands regular (but not a marshal I must admit) I did find those directions fairly confusing as well.... Presumably the area LEFT of the Kentagon would be AS YOU LOOK AT IT HEAD ON - as to the right is an internal roadway (to the old spectator entrance).

However the other thing that confused me was "K" gate..... Now is my brain deceiving me (which it might well be) but was K gate not the one at the base of the Paddock which opened out onto Scratchers Lane (near the Rally School track)? I`m sure that one used to be "K" - maybe they`ve re-used that initial for another gate these days?

Oh, and whoever asked about the F3000 earlier in the thread....

website here..... (though not too good).....

Yes, if you stand and FACE the Kentagon from the roadway, there is a large Toilet Block, modern and convenient to the left hand side. To its left and slightly behind is a large field adjacent to the Kart Track with access via two gates, one for vehicles with a pedestrian gate alongside! This is known as "K" gate. I am sure our Security Staff can direct you exactly in the right direction.

The other gate mention, which some 20 plus years ago led from Scratchers Lane into what was the old Padoock, and now, quite rightly stated; is "R" Gate and hase been for many many years!!

Aha...

Brain-fade then seeminlgy.....

I remember in the early-mid nineties (only 10 years or so ago - I wasn`t going to Brands regularly 20 years ago...) we regulary got channelled out through that gate on the bigger meetings like BTCC. I always seem to remember it as K.... obviously not then....

Only mulling things over! Wouldn't pre-empt the guys at sign-on thats for sure. Assume it's the regular BRSCC guys at sign-on?

Sorry, JB, did not wish to offend! Yes, the regular Chiefs and probably will not be pre-allocating Posts anyway! As I said, everybody welcome! Please bring a spare orange coat to hang on the fence to make it look as we have more Marshals than actual!!
