Geez, those SBR engine developers must be working overtime to make 8 engines per car on their list. But, hopefully JB and Bowie can hopefully get more podium finishes and a round win or two

Where does it say they will be supplying 8 engines per car? They say 8 cars with engines. SBR's engine program can handle a lot more engines than what they are doing atm.

Oh sorry, I should have written ' they would have to go into over time to make 8 engines for the 8 cars.'

makes you wonder if they will get done for data sharing
they are pushing the rules a bit far dont you think
and before you say "But Larry did it back in the early days"
wernt they privateers that he was suppling, much the same as most of the top teams are doing with the development series these days

Whats the difference between supplying privateers and top teams?

What does the term data sharing refer to specifically, suspension/chassis setups and engine mapping?

Is the SBR engine company set up in such a way as to be completely seperate to the race team essentially the same as Dencar/Beehag/HMS?

Adding another team to the supply list means nothing.

they dont supply/exchange/share any data whatsoever. The engine is supplied in a crate with nothing else on it - if they were shipping them with the ECU connected there may be some raised eye-brows but its basically a raw material for them to complete the car-trying to pin them for that is like accusing someone who supplies a restaurant with the raw ingredients of cooking the meals, but SBR are not supplying any chefs! - the HRT data sharing drama came about from the 6 cars all sharing a garage with the same mechanics working on the cars in between rounds - so all the chefs were in the same kitchen!!
