Bristol
Bristol this week, I can't wait
I've never seen a race here before(before this season I'd only seen Daytona and Indianapolis races) and have always loved this place and Martinsville in games, read lots about these races being awesome too, so should be good Who typically goes well here? and is Terry Labonte still have his drive, or does it go over to whoever is taking it over now. |

I think Labonte is still driving for the next race or two and then Tony Raines will take over. The team is top 35 in points so they should be able to make races without Labonte in the car. As for who does well at Bristol, I'd put my money on Jeff Gordon or maybe Kurt Busch as they've been the best here recently. Harvick won the spring race last year, I don't know if he'll win it this year, but I think his team mate Jeff Burton has a shot.

BAH. Best race of the year and NASN do not show it live. Have to wait until 0830 or 1830 on Monday.

Not only is Bristol an exciting race but it will be very important to some of the teams such as kurt Busch and Ryan Newman. a DNF or a low finish could put them almost out of the chase or at least make it very difficult for them. Same for harvick.

Carl Edwards isn't looking too flash either, down in 30th.
Am I right in saying the '500' is 500 laps, not miles? as 500 miles at a 1/2 mile track would be 1000 laps, was thinking just the other day that 500miles at a relatively slow track would take a fair while to complete. |

Checking out Speed, it seems they are not showing the Craftsman live? They usually do...anyone know of anywhere else iti s being shown?
Also, seems SNET are not going to show Nextel live...which they did before...perhaos they only get like 2 races a year, or something, and I happened to spot it for one of them. |

Well judging from the amount of snow that has just fallen in the Busch race I would guess that this weekend is a write off.
As a matter of interest, the pit crews are building snowmen and having snowball fights! |

Turned out to be a great race.
Interesting method of overtaking. Bump.... Glad to see my "cousin" got on better. 14th much better than his previous showings. Busch's race was well judged, and I'm sure that being in the right place at the right time had a lot to do with it. He wasn't the fastest out there, but he got the breaks. I just love that circuit. Not sure about the weather there though! Rob |

Horray a top five for Petty Enterprises. They are finally starting to move in the right direction. Congrats to Bobby Labonte on a good run and a fifth place finish. Here's hoping there is more where that came from. Kurt Busch also continues to run well at Bristol pulling off a win.
Jimmie Johnson had a bad day and fell to third in points with a 30th place finish. This was Knaus' first race back too. It looks like Scott Riggs, Kevin Lepage, David Stremme, Scott Wimmer, and Travis Kvapil are out of the top 35 and will have to make there way in through qualifying next week. Jeremy Mayfield and Sterling Marlin are also right on the bubble at 34th and 35th in points. Should be interesting to see who makes the show next week and who doesn't. J.D. |

I had to record the race, to avoid complaints from my Mother (college work etc). With the MotoGP race it just didn't work, but Nextel got one stage further. It did record, but only the sound. It is what I get for not watching it live, .
So, well, the race sounded eventful. |

Unlucky, it was quite good, I hate it when something stuff up taping something.
Only just finished watching the Cup race, watched Busch Mon night, 1/2 of Cup last night and the rest tonight. First off, the track does seem a bit different to a game, looks more banked in games, and the straights seem longer. all to to with the TV angle I guess. Truex played a game and lost... that hit looked hard, crew chief on the radio didn't seem happy :P Brent Sherman had his hands full, involved in 4? incidents 4 out of 5(?) Roush cars in the top 10, would have had a winner if Busch hadn't gave Kenseth a tap..fair bump. Biffle did well, his hit with the wall looked just as hard as Jimmy Johnson's. Gordon lashing out at Kenseth after Kenseth hit him around wasn't a brilliant move. Fined $10k for 'actions detrimental to NASCAR' How is it detrimental exactly? I bet the fans loved it... What happened after they showed the points? Would have been very interested to see how they reacted when being interviewed, eg: Gordon, Kenseth, my tape ran out just after showing the points |
