OK deep breath!
In addition to the above - 2 x Ultimas - One GT Class - One GTO Probable Stealth B6 - Possibly 2 Definitely 3x Tuscan R 1 Mantos GTO 1 GTO Viper - poss GT class Viper too At least 2 extra 911 cup car and a probable further one over and above that At least one (probably 2) extra Elises There are all sorts of other possibles - some real surprises too! The Tuscan Challenge cars look unlikely though I believe. |

Looking at the list I find it hard to list a Clio as a GT car, I suppose it loosely fits the description - has 2 doors.
I suppose one of the Ultima's will be a Colin Blower effort? That is one car that, to me anyhow, looked on the pace towards the end of last year. I know some have been listed previously but I don't have the names to hand. Any idea of drivers for any of the cars? |

i would love to see the ultima back, as you say jason definitely getting faster at the end of last season. The renaults in my opinion are anything but GT's. ah well, more moving chicanes for the moslers

The Ultimas are Colin Blower's car in GT and Steve Brady in GTO
The Stealths are indeed with Hugh Chamberlain atm It is possible that more than one Morgan and more than one Jag might be out this season but its very early days just yet! The Cobra replica is called a pilgrim and might be entered by..........John Pilgrim for son Alex and a.n.other |

Needless to say, the kit has developed to enable builders to use a more authentic motor. |

the speed 12 is for sale, both the road and race version. if i had the money id buy it myself, how about we all chip in, £10 each only means 12000 of us to meet the £120 000 price tag! Wont stop me dreaming tho!

Is the Speed 12 homologated for the FIA GT series or ACO events?

The sale of the 2001 Speed 12 to Japan fell through i'm afraid Cynic - it spent most of last season in the back of the team transporter being robbed for spares!

I feel the Renault Clios are perfectly acceptable GT cars. Some of the time they'll be well off the pace but I think they'll acquit themselves well. I seem to remember looking at the times from the Silverstone 2002 support race and the fastest Clios eg Luca Rangoni would comfortably make a 107% of class pole if there were such a restriction. The cars are hardly short of development which will help reliabilty in the longer races. I doubt they'll be a disgrace. They're not McLarens or Sinturas, I grant you, but the first British GT event I saw had a Westfield THING and a Golf in it if memory serves, to say nothing of the Countach kitcar and that mad Quaife Escort!
Part of the attraction of any national GT series is the oddball cars at the Osella end of the grid! Whatver happened to the Honda S2000? Last edited by Osella; 1 Mar 2003 at 22:17. |
