Gore against blueprint?
How did gorey get this past the avesco officials?
does he have an unlimited limit on his V8 Supercard or something?  Now to decide who gets to drive it.... bessy or bairdo? |

Was interesting to see them pull this car after a couple of trips out on the track, and use the Monaro Safety Car instead a couple of times today.... anyone know what was up with that? I was there, so I don't know if Channel Seriously mentioned any reasons..... (not up that bit on the tape yet!
)It doesn't have a really small fuel tank and use hard-to-find fuel does it? It did seem to be out there for ages today, so maybe it just ran out of juice! (But then I did see it out for the Carrera Cup later in the day) |

At the track, Mark Aiston said something about it having gearbox problems, but it was out and going hard again by the end of the day. Of course I am talking about the 300C here, the above picture shows the Crossfire, which is being used as a Course Car as opposed to a Safety Car, which is the 300C's job.
The 300C also sounds waaayyy better, the siren on the Crossfire is louder than the exhaust! Im pretty sure it is an auto to, or at best Tiptronic. The guy driving the 300C was also taking it pretty easy, probably because the car is more land yacht than sports car! Speaking of Mr Gore, does anyone else smell something a bit off about a guy throwing millions of dollars into motorsport (2 x V8s, 1 x Aussie Racing Car plus series naming right for the Aussie Racing Cars and Carrera Cup) being called a Maverick? I certainly would not want my financial investments being handled by a maverick as I heard him described as in an article earlier in the week! |
