It's a pity the majority of fans out there do not recognise talent when they see it, and it's plainly obvious Webber has, and loads of it, otherwise he wouldn't be receiving these sorts of awards.

A good driver but he has been around for way too long and is yet to make it....move over Mark and let Australia's next true champion take some of the lime light - James Courtney is the future of Australian motor racing!

Mr V, Mark is a legend no matter what he achieves. Its hard for auzzies to get even close to F1 these days, and being as close as he is now is good enough in my books.

I hope he does well for his and Australia's sake, but at the moment he is just a "gunna"....Minardi are hardly the team to help him become rookie of the year....and an old rookie at that!!!
Give James the same opportunities Mark has had and he would have been in an F1 car years ago....and he is only 21 now! |

dont make me laugh - he'll never be rookie of the year in '02 - up against quality drivers like Felipe Massa Last edited by LucaBadoer; 15 Jan 2002 at 17:32. |

I'm sure Webber is okay but I think Stoddart should have kept his options open for a bit longer to try and get people like Verstappen and Frentzen who have already proved themselves to be decent drivers.
