Old Super Touring Cars

After Looking at the 1998 Vectra Touring Car shell for sale on E-bay (Link to its on Formula Saloons Brands Thread) it got me wondering what happened to some of the old Super Tourers.

Does anyone know what happened to the following cars?

1998/1999 Vauxhall Vectra's (Think they used the 98 shell in 99)

1999 Renault Laguna's

1998 Ford Mondeo's

1998 & 1999 Honda Accord's

I know some cars from around this era have been raced in Formula Saloons and sent abroad, but it would be good to know where they are now.

Thanks

I presume you know that the Searles (based in thornton, hunter valley) have a fit BMW 320i (1998?)

Do you know of the wakefield touring challenge? It is a comp for super tourers, V8 supercars, future tourers etc.

Go to http://www.touringcarchallenge.com/ for more details.

No I don't sorry. i'm from Newcastle in England.

The website is good, seems a good champioship, but the Super Tourers on there seem to be older than the cars I was interested in.

Sorry mate, I'm from Newcastle Australia... It was silly of me to presume that you were down here.

I've been to Newcastle-upon-tyne and frankly, there is minimal resemblance between the places and I don't know why the called them the same name.

The wakefield touring challenge is a competition for privately run cars, moderate budgets etc.

From your list, there is a late model Mondeo run in the comp, but the late model front-drive cars are very exxy to run, probably too much for a local series.

2 of the 99 Renaults have been bought by a guy in Canada but I believe the cars are still in the country.
98 and 99 Honda's are in Europe and 1 of them is racing ine the Touring Car Trophy.
The 98 Mondeo's are probably still in Sweden.
There is one 99 Vectra still in this country and is in the process of being completed. The others I think are either in Sweden or Norway.
