MK1 Twincam Escort Coil over shock spring height
Hello all,
I am about to purchase some group 4 front coil over struts for my MK1 twincam escort and don't know what spring height to get. They range from 7" to 14" in height and also was thinking about 250LB's rate. Can someone please advise me what spring height would be an inch or so lower than standard. I am doing some track days and club stuff with the car if that helps with spring rate. thanks |

have you got this sorted yet, i too have a twin cam that i,am restoring and have to do the same but i can get the info if you need it.

Can't help with the spring height because we are running Capri V6 springs in our MK 1 Mexico, but we just went from 250lb to 300lb front springs, and changed the sway bar to 24mm, with a second, standard size ( 20MM? ) bar clamped to that. Also put a 16mm bar on the back. Handles nicely now, next will be a watts linkage.

15 x 8 ML,s 215 50,s on them,bit tight as its got a wide atlas axle under the back. runs a millington 2.6ltr engine,310 bhp @8k.
