Arrive and Drive Helmets??

Hi all,

I have an arrive and drive race at buckmore park coming up and am looking to buy a fairly cheap helmet (limited budget). I plan to only do a couple of races a year. Does anyone know if there are any regs i need to follow for arrive and drive, one off races? I have heard that a basic full face motorcycle helmet is fine for one off events (however, obvioulsy safety is priority)...can anyone confirm the details for me?

Thanks

Best get a BSI Grade A helmet (Blue sticker) or a ACU Gold. They are the norm

How could you possibly justify scrimping on your safety gear? Always buy the best helmet/etc. you can afford, but never pay retail, shop around. i always remember the old Bell helmet ad: "If you have a $15.00 head......"

my opening post states "limited budget" so of course i am looking for the best possible helmet (in terms of safety), that agrees with the statement 'limited budget', there are reasons for having a limited budget you know. I am after a helmet that meets the safety standards, it would be whole lot worse if I had just bought any old piece of . So that is how i justify "Scrimping" on my safety gear honestly

Believe me having been laid off since last March and not having found any steady work since, I understand 'limited budget'. We have had to 'adjust' a lot, and don't read into what I said as meaning go out and buy the most expensive helmet you can, I think a lot of the 'brain buckets' out there are overpriced. Just go out and make an informed purchase, from a reputable mfg. I understand that our criteria on this side of the pond are a little different, but I always try to buy a helmet with the latest, up-to-date certifications. Yes, I read your opening post (didn't mean to offend you) just got alarmed by the word cheap, although that is probably NOT what you meant.
