WSR FR3.5 Round 9 - Motorland Aragon
Almost a month since the previous round at the Nurburgring and its time for the final round of the 2009 WSR season, with this weekends' finale taking place at the brand new Motorland Aragon circuit near Alcaniz, Spain.
The drivers' title may have been wrapped up by Bertrand Baguette at the last round, but the teams' title is still up for grabs this weekend with just 11 points separating leaders Draco Racing from Carlin Motorsport. Ultimate Motorsport will again be missing from the field and Pasquale Di Sabatino has again been forced to cut his season short due to a lack of funds. There are, however, two new faces at RC Motorsport this weekend, with former Ultimate Signature driver Esteban Guerrieri being joined by European F3 Open driver Bruno Mendez. Greg Mansell has also returned to the series, replacing John Martin at Comtec Racing. Morning Times: Quote:

Thanks for the heads-up WSR, the last few races have been pretty lively. Greg Mansell? Motorland Aragon? |

Guerrieri went from 15th to 5th, which was damn good effort.

After he demonstrated the Renault F1 car at Silverstone (half-way point of the season), he began a downward slide...

Slide? More like he dropped off the end of a cliff. He didn't score another point after that. Before the Silverstone weekend he'd scored in every race bar 1
Fauzy has certainly staked his claim for the Lotus drive, though. You can't say he wouldn't deserve it now - 2nd in a major single series category |

True, Fauzy has come on song and finally delivered a consistent season to reward the speed he has always had. But F1 standard? He'd be OK, but its taken him ages, and you don't see F1 drivers these days who have taken so long to come good, lets not kid ourselves. In his early career he didn't do anything special in F3, and had two full seasons in GP2 where he scored zero points, although eventually won in the Asia series. He would uphold Malaysian honour in a better way than Alex Yoong did though, I think.

Btw anything on Baguette's plans for F1? What are his options, his double wins this season were awesome and I thought he would have a mediocre season because he couldn't win at home at Spa
