StuiE should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
no LSD....but there is 2 lines ????

Ok the title could be a bit suggesting ...

So, I'm here in the country, ans I have two cars that I can give a bit of a thrash, the Pug 306 (manual) and a Suzi Ignis (Auto). I was always under the impression that with an open (single spinner) diff, that when the first wheel to loose traction starts to spin, that all power is directed to that wheel, and only one wheel will spin (hence the name single spinner right?). Yet, in the last few days doing burnouts (using handbrake and not)on gravel and tarmac, I had both wheels spinning, and it was leaving 2 tyre marks......whats the deal with that? I had a great dea of torque steer in the Suzi though, with the car moving pretty hard to the right most of the time, and less so in the Pug. (and the Pug has tons more power) whats goin on?

If the diff is a limited slip type you can leave dual marks, otherwise it indicates that there is so little traction that both tires break loose simultaneously despite the fact that it is an open diff(single spinner). Robert

Ah, thanks for that Robert, when i did it on the Tarmac it was wet, so there still wasn't much more traction than on the (wet) gravel, so they must have broke traction at the same, time. I know tha I've done single wheel spinning burnouts before in the Pug, but that was in the dry.

Thanks
