Brian George
It is with great sadness I have to say that Brian finally lost his tremendously brave battle for life last week. Funeral arrangements yet to be finalised, but all will be welcome to celebrate his final chequered flag. xx

Very sad news Joyce and sympathies to you. There's already a couple of threads going, one is in Tributes and I think the CSCC forum has one as well plus we've mentioned Brian over on the Deltas Tea Urn thread if you care to peruse any of these.
Brian was a highly regarded member of the racing community and will be greatly missed. |

I was saddened to hear this news after following his brave fight on social media. It was always a great pleasure to see Brian at the circuits driving what must be the longest safety car in the UK! RIP Sir.

Joyce, so sorry to hear this really sad news - Brian was always a real gentleman and such a true enthusiast always willing to help in whatever way he could. He will certainly be missed everyone and especially by all his friends within the CSCC.
Our thoughts are with you at this time. Terry |

Brian's funeral will be on Thursday the 31st of March at 11am, at Grantham Crematorium followed by a lunch buffet at South Witham Village Hall, All marshalling and racing friends are warmly invited to help celebrate his life. Please pm me if you can manage to make it, so I know roughly how many to expect. Joycex

So sorry, Joyce.
I heard this sad news at the Marshals' Training Day at Oulton last weekend. I can't remember how to PM at this time, but rest assured I will attend the funeral - it's the least I can do - but in the meantime please accept my deepest sympathy. See you there! Yesterday
A very moving ceremony.
It was good to meet old friends afterwards and to find out that Joyce intends to carry on so we all will not be deprived of her presence in the season to come. |

Thank you so much for coming Bill, much appreciated.
Not too sure if my presence will cause much mirth, dismay or terror! |

A bit late, but that's me!
Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the good wishes, sympathy and support, not only for last week, but for the last 6 months. it has carried me through some dark times. It was the ceremony that Brian wanted, so I did my best to carry out his last requests. We raised the fantastic sum of £550 for the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance at the crematorium, plus some more that people donated on line, so again a huge thanks for that. It was good to get back out in orange yesterday, and roll on Snetterton next weekend in the new mini camper. Joyce |
