Hi I am intending to visit Croft this season something like 700-800 mile round trip for me so was wondering what the camping is like at circuit.

Camp site is inside the circuit and within 100 yards of water and toilet facilities and about 150 yards from signing on, so no need to get up too early.

I have on occassion arrived earlier than planned and have had no problems in staying on site from Thursday afternoon.
Also next to the toilets is a shower block with 3 electric power showers. Water supply is always a problem at the big meetings (i.e BTCC) with all the teams & hospitality units draining the supply dry, so if you have a caravan/motorhome, stock up with water early. If your tenting it, be prepared for a sticky drive home on Sunday night or stay over, shower and leave on Monday as I do. Unfortunately there is no clubhouse or place within the circuit to get a meal or hot drinks once the burger van shuts down after the last session of the day. This possibly changes for the bigger meetings with a range of catering options being offered, Burger van, Hog Roast, Noodle bar and a licensed mobile bar. However, the local pub "The Chequers" is only about a ten minute walk away and Barry the landlord always make you feel welcome and offers reasonably priced bar meals. About 2 miles up the road theres a small village with a take-away offering fish & chips, curries, etc. Hope you enjoy your visit. |
