I think BRSCC are running this? Contact the midland region will be your best bet.

It's still going ahead. I'm not sending them out myself but I've been told that the marshals tickets should be in the post tomorrow.

Morgan Car Club are running this meeting - I spoke to the secretary on Tuesday & sent my entry in, so no mention of cancelling it at that time, though they may be down on numbers

I got my tickets on Friday so I reckon it's definitely on! Otherwise we'll look even more stupid than usual manning an empty Mallory.

Tickets arrived on Saturday, at yesterdays 750MC bore, the circuirt was advertising the Cadeby Steam Fair at the circuit for next Saturday/Sunday. I'll try and find out more at the Test Day on Wednesday.

Apart from the binned formula fords, the grids are all a good size & the racing looks very promising. Lets just hope it all happens.

BRSCC are running it, so Alan Tyson would be astart.
Worse case scenario - PM me and I'll leave something on the gate

Better not be, I got talked into volunteering for both sillystone on Sat and Mallory on Sun after the 750 meeting. Damn that after race cider, never again...

Well... until next time that is.

I've just had an e-mail from Mallory advetising the Steam Fair & also the Morgan day on Sunday.
A small extract

"Aside from the mouth watering selection of vintage machines there will be plenty of racing too. Practice commences at 0900 with the parade at 1200 and the racing kicking off at 1300.
The course car for this special occasion in the very latest limited edition Aeromax which has been loaned by the Morgan Motor Company, with only 100 of these beauties available it will be a talking point for spectators.
Hitting the track first will be the Strata MGBV8’s, followed by the Power Torque Morgan Challenge, The Darlington District Motoring Club is running two races which are the Northern Sports & Saloon Championship classes, then it’s back out with the Morgan Challenge with Caterhams thrown in for good measure. The day will be rounded out with the Formula Ford Challenge and the Sports Vintage Saloon Challenge."

This to me sounds like it is still on.
At the moment unfortunately can't make it but have fun if you are out playing.

The race is deffo on you can quote me on that, I've been to the circuit this morning & it's going ahead as planned, the Steam Fair is up behind the Moto X track which will also be happening - if last Sundays anything to go by it'll be more interesting to watch!

Maybe not the slowest ever but perhaps in the top 10 will be the Mk1 Cortina (IIRC) that got black flagged at the CSCC meeting this year for not keeping up with the Safety Car.

Thoroughly enjoyed the meeting ( and the drink afterwards), highlights were
1) Taking the mickey out of my mate Pete Daly number 98 for losing the lead whilst his partner Lorna had probably her best race ever in the F.Ford 1600's.
2) Watching the 6R4 winning the Northern Saloon race.

Awwww Cool Ken won

I was supposed to be there but have spent the weekend feeling sorry for myself, drinking soup and laying in bed trying to get rid of a stinking head cold

Hope all had a good time, and does anyone remember how the red saxo (no.1) got on in the northern sports

If it's the car I'm thinking about, he was not a happy bunny!
The drive shaft (again, I believe) went on race start!

Really enjoyed the meeting, the Caterham incident was pretty spectacular! So pleased both drivers were OK. Those morgans are pretty tough, can't believe one moved & dented the barrier, and still was driven back to pits!

The morgan caterham battle in the 3rd (?) race was very entertaining to watch, can't believe the morgan lost in a drag race to the line.
