Mark Taylor needs your help!
There is a poll running on www.speedtv.com in the US to determine who should get the Panther seat now Hornish has signed for Penske. Please cast your vote for Mark and tell some friends, he needs all the help he can get from his British supporters - the Americans are naturally voting for their own. These polls do get seen by sponsors and teams and can make a difference - so get voting!
The poll is at the bottom of the first page. |

I'd vote for a more veteran driver. Maybe if they run a second car (which was a rumor) then Taylor would be good for that.

I voted for Alex Barron. I can't believe Sara has 24% of the vote!

How come JJ Yeley's not on the list, he's been talking to IRL teams about coming back. He and Sarah are the only ones with exposure to short track fans, and with over 1100 short track ovals in America, you'd think marketing might catch on. Can we say FAN BASE?

I'm sure I saw JJ Yeley's name on the list. As for Sarah leading the voting, she has been the IRL's most popular driver the past two years. Why is it hard to believe she's leading the voting?

I find it hard to believe she leads the voting because, well you know, she has yet to win an IRL Indy car race.

True. I voted for the most recent winner on the list. But still, Sarah wins most popular driver two years in a row. Obviously she is still very popular now, and may win most popular driver again. The question wasn't which one of these drivers have won the most races. It was who do you think should drive this car. Sarah has a firm ride, probably for next year too. Lets hope someone out of work gets the Panther seat... and let's hope they have two cars.

Alex Barron would eb the right chocie for a single car, with Mark taylor joining him if a second car is added. There's no way Mark could learn everythign without support, especially up against the current quality of entries. Besides, IPS is still a Mickey Mouse series.

Dam I must have missed the voting, I would have voted for Mark though.
Is there any news on a IRL test with panther, there was a post some where on here but then no mention of it, haven't seen anythink on marks site about it either. Can you shed any light B/Mark? |

Not at the moment Benny, but you will know when it happens.
Mark racked up 14% on the poll which put him equal 3rd for practical purposes, a great result from a Brit in the IPS. Sarah Fisher came top, more a popularity contest than the best available driver - she is still driving for D&R. Alex Barron came in second which is no surprise as he has no ride yet for next year and did a good job as stand in this year. Beating sam in the Spin& Win race did no harm either. |

I'm always surprised at how Alex Barron seems to never have a drive, every time he does a stand in job he does a very good and competent job.

Paulzinho,
maybe that's a matter of lacking sponsor,i.e. of money? Otherwise no explanation for that shame... |
