Two cracking races! It may have been the Monza effect but they were both close fought - and Vermeulens win in race 2 finally showed the Suzukis are getting pegged back. Kageyama top value again, Toseland superb in race one but Vermuelens pass for the lead in race 2 - WOW!! Never really been a big fan of his, not sure why, but that pass on Regis today was absolutely world class. Keep up the good work WSB!

I dont know about the Suzukis being pegged back, 1 result isnt really enough to go by IMO. Good races all the same though, nice to see Toseland back on the podium again though. Monza is a great circuit and always provides close and exciting racing, whether it be WSBK or F1 or sportscars.

True but that kind of thing rarley happens at Monza in any series. Its that kind of circuit, as long as u are up behind someone on a decent enough machine the tow is normally enough to keep u there. 2 Good races though all the same.

Suzuki, Xerox Ducati and Ten Kate Honda were all very well-matched on pace, and it was hard to choose between them on race performance. The problems Karl and Chris had on lap 1 of race 1 were a real shame from that perspective, but they bounced back extremely well. This is the first time since the first race that I've felt that someone other than Troy might have a hope of winning the title, which is encouraging. Two really good races all told, and nice to see a clean start to race 1 and a semi-clean one to race 2 - all too often the gravel takes several bikes in that opening chicane.

What was that Jack Burnacle was saying about Stalker not feeling comfortable riding near Muggeridge?
Also I notice an MV was entered, whats the pedigree on that? Last small Italian manufacturer I can recall in WSB was Benelli with that Antipodean bloke riding it, Peter Name-escapes-me. |

It wans't jsut to do with the tow though, at different stages Corser had a good lead in race 1 and Laconi in race 2, but both found themselves pegged back. On raw pace, be it qualifying or race, Suzuki's advantage was pretty small, and Troy's supporsed (comparative) weakness in racing around others came back into focus in race 2. He's still title favourite by some distance, but there's still plenty of action elsewhere, especially with Walker riding the Kawasaki beyond its potential, and Pitt making those great starts repeatedly.
