You'd have to ask Eddie Irvine - he's full of Cx

Gindobré Mulder, do you mean the air coefficiency?
If so, I'm sure that it is very high, as I have read that a modern F1 car will slow down by about 1 g just by lifting off the throttle. As for numbers, who knows, and it would vary from track to track. Hockenheim wouldn't be the same as Monaco. and by the way, disregard the jokers, it is all in good humor. |

If you do mean coeficient of drag ,it's about 0.6 because of the huge wings.(if i got the decimal point in the right place)
Road cars are about half that |

Yes, you got the decimal point right... but not sure about that "6" (i'm afraid is worse). A F1 car is anything but certainly NOT "drag efficient"

I was going to put 0.65-can't remember where i heard it from.I also remember that without the wings they'd drop to about 0.15

Hmm, have no idea but the sidepods, air intake, open seat and of course the open wheels certainly cannot lead to such a good cx.

Not to mention as much wing area as a Sopwith Triplane!! (or Fokker if you want to go the Ferrari route)

The open wheels have a serious effect as the top of the wheel is moving at twice the speed of the car. The wings have a serious effect especially when it is cranked at maximum downforce. These work as deflectors, and the force on the wing depends on the change in direction of the air and also varies as the velocity squared. And even if a ream knew what their Cx value is for any particular combination of settings they are not about to reveal it to their opposition.
