:confused: which bit amazes you?,it was pretty standard knock-off of a Lotus 79 that most teams fielded that year.At this race it had a few aero bits added,but it wasn't anything sensational.

Nah,Lotus 78 was the first sliding skirter,unless I'm very much mistaken.

I thought the 78 had static skirts and the 79 had the first sliding version.

It was just a Tyrell 009 with awful appendages added to the top of the side pods and the front wings. There were some very quirkly cars in 1979..... Lotus 80, Kauhsen, Brahamm BT48,Arrows A2......an era when all cars certainly didn't look the same.

Mis-spelling...I meant quirky....not quirkly...which wasn't a mixture of quirky and quickly, because not of the aforementioned cars were quick.
