We could easily say Mercedes or Ferrari, but they just maintained their positions in the train with nothing at all remarkable. Could say FI for Ocon but Perez didn't have much of a race. Same with Gasly and Hartley for TR, although Brendon was taken out with no fault on his part. Renault did OK. I'll give it to Red Bull (even though the win was largely down to Ricciardo) and Verstappen managed to keep the 'sensible' hat on and did a good job from dead last.

Red Bull. They came into this weekend with the best chance of winning and despite Verstappen destroying his chances in qualifying and Ricciardo's PU issue, they delivered.

Red Bull has to get it even thought Max did little to help

Red Bull. Only two small black marks: Verstappen's silliness on Saturday (not the team's fault) and the MGU-K failure on Sunday, but their overall pace all weekend makes up for that.

bit of a difficult one as i thought most teams played it too conservatively for my liking so i'll go for Renault's double points finish because i did think they did play a great team game to maximize their points from both of their cars.
ran different strategies for their drivers which necessitated a well managed and coordinated pass by Hulk on Sainz. |

I think too many teams had various reasons for not having the right result. I didn’t think much to Renault, but they did well to get a double points finish. Really Sainz and Hulk make a great team

I cant give it to Red Bull, because in my eyes they underperformed. Clearly had Max, part of the team, let the side down in his accident, and squandered what, given the fact that Daniel was able to win in a compromised car, says to me they shoulda woulda been looking at nothing less than a 1-2 result, and 43 points. They got just 27.
I have also given my vote to Force India, for again punching above their budget limitations. |

Force India didn’t do much for me, other than a solid unspectacular race for Ocon. I can think of better candidates

Excellent - enlighten me! I couldn't really think of any other team that had done much to deserve my vote - FI were the 'least bad' in my eyes. Who do you think was better and why? My thinking:
Williams? Nope. Awful showing. Red Bull? Nope. Should have been a nailed on 1-2 Ferrari? Nope. Did nothing of note. Mercedes? Nope. Same as Ferrari - did nothing of note. Mclaren? Nope. One of the cars broke. Sauber? Nope. One of the cars broke. Haas? Nope. Couldn't get the car to work at all around Monaco. That leaves: Force India Renault Torro Rosso Of those Force India got the best result considering relative budget I think. |
