new roll cage bracing help

Hi, sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum.
I've just bought a sparco cage from a UK dealer for my RHD porsche 924 which is used for track day at the moment.
My questsion is this. All the rear triangulation at the rear hoop is from the left of the cage. I guess this is because it's really for a LHD car. Does it matter that much or should I do some faffing and attempt to put cross bracing or move the bolt on rear brace to the right hand side?

Thanks

Phil

it shouldn't make any diference, in theory !
you could argue it both ways, that the rolled tube without the weld is stronger, or the extra barace is stronger. either way, don't put it to the test !

for a trackday car i dont suppose it really matters,

BUT if you want to do MSA competition events then you have a problem as the blue book state the diagonal must be on the drivers side, modifying the roll cage is also likely to get you in hot water with the scruitneers if they realise

Thanks for the replies.
The cage does come with a FIA certificate. I'll check with tweaks before I go much further.

THR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
i guess if a proper certified welder does it, and they give u a cert then that would be ok.
id leave the one existing in tho, and just add to it.

I've decided that I won't be racing the thing and having been looking at lots of pictures of RHD cars with left hand braces I've decided to stick with the cage as it is.
Thanks again for the responses guys.
