The car that suprised me is the TVR, 10th in class ahead of some very very big names. The 2nd Session is underway as soon as I have the final time I'll post them.

Ok the 2nd session is about 40 Mins old and fastest so far is James Weaver in the Dyson MG, followed by all 3 Audi's.

Live timing can be found on the IMSA site for all sessions...including the one on track now.
Morgan turned their first laps this morning. Lotus just passed tech at 9am today and are doing some re-wiring. |

The second session is over. Sadly I lost T&S due to my PC throwing a wobbler and crashed so I had to re-boot. As soon as I have news it will be posted here.

Seems like they are concentrateing on set-up rather than fast times.
The Saleen seems pretty quick though. |

Interesting times - still looks like the Audi are the class of the field. No time from the Lotus yet.

The Saleen is closer than I expected, but still over 1.5 seconds down on the Corvettes. The 575's are even further behind. It may take them some time to find the pace in those cars. I agree about with you JAG, race setups me thinks. One question about that Panoz GTP. What would it take for this car to qualify as a GTS car? Its pace is more representative of that class. It even looks like a GTS car. Still scratching my head as to why Labre took on that car. Is there something else coming that this car is a pre-cursor to? GTS Esperante perhaps? Would this car qualify under the FIA-GT supercar rules?

I fear we can see figth only in GT class. LMP900 is "Audi kingdom" (as always, yes) and the question is if Dyson MGs will be at least two or three hours free of problems. GTS, a class really interesting in the last years now has only two very strong Vettes and with good luck Acemco Saleen will be there too. At least GT (being other Porsche parade with one 360)has seven cars in one second.
I would like to be wrong. |

Speaking of GT, it's great to see the Ferrari 360 on the pace with the Alex Job 911. That could be a good sign.

The new Panoz GTS is supposed to be based on the Esperte GTR-1, but with an Audi engine.
Shame the Zyteks are not at Sebring. Could have challenged the R8s IMO. |

The Lotus has problems (as always) and won’t run until Thursday. R&S performance was a shame, the same for Barraon Connor Ferraris. We miss a lot Prodrive Care Racing cars.

OK qualifying is underway - Currently top of timesheets in GTS are the 2 Corvettes. Top of the shop in GT is the BAM car.

Why is the Saleen sitting in the pit with no laps turned?
