Cup thread - Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond.
Qualifying was run last night and here is how they line up.

I was kind of surprised to see Dale Jr. so far back in qualifying, because this is his last chance to get into the chase.

God I would love it if Dale dumped "Remarkably Tough Guy" out of the Chase points.
However, I fear there is more chance of Jimmie Johnson being unshaven. |

Lap 23: JPM moved up from 15th to 11th on the track and now moves up to 4th after pit stops. He presumably took 2 tires.

Junior just had a great chance to take out Harvick but slammed the brakes...I hope JPM pays Harvick back for his Watkins Glen display, though.

Damn, JPM had a great run going...BUSCH INVOLVED THOUGH AND JR 2ND! Let's hope Busch finishes 40th or something so Jr can get in!!!!

Great stuff from Dale Jr., that racing with Stewart and particularly Jeff Gordon was outstanding. Fabulous to watch.
Star of the race has to be Ragan though. Dammit, he is getting close to the "Rookie Of The Year" leadership after JPM's unlucky and barbecued demise. |
