He's finally got it! Pity that Muller retired, as he would of been stunning no doubt in this race.

Well done James, he deserved it on balance looking at how many mechnaical problems he's had, but a shame the battle didn't go down to the flag. Still, a final-race showdown for the third successive year isn't bad going.
Well done to all the other guys who've shone this year, with better luck it could've been Matt Neal's crown, Priaulx has broken through in the Honda, Howell (especially) and Turkington have done TAK proud, Reid did the best he could, and Leslie likewise. Its certainly been a great season, and with Vauxhall confirmed for 2003, we can look to more of the same next year, with strong challenges from the rest too. |

Did Muller and James have contact down at the Melbourne hairpin ???.....
be interesing to see if that was the reason for Yvans retirement .Not that he should complain after the way he took James out of the race at Druids at Brands a few weeks ago . |

Well done Thommo. We might actually have the reining champion in the series next year for the first time since 1999! Muller could be gone next year, apprently some ETCC teams are after him.

It was a good performance by Thompson, and although i'm not his greatest fan, well done, its well deserved i think!
it might not be a Vauxhall next year, those Hondas really looked the business from where i was standing! |

Congrats to Thompson! Although I would have liked Muller to win the championship, I am very pleased for Thompson.
