Needed: Hotel near Cadwell Park.
Hi all...
When I was racing at Donington a short while back, I asked for any recommendations, and ended up staying at a recommended hotel just down the road from the circuit. Any recommendations for a hotel near Cadwell Park ? (I've Googled around, but thought I'd ask if anyone has any recommendations) cheers Dave. |

This weekend we stayed at the Vine Inn, South Thoresby. It's just a little village pub, run by really nice people, & the food is superb. It's about 10 miles from the circuit, but the drive to the circuit is great fun!
Take a look at: www.alford.info/vineinn.htm One to avoid, unless it's improved since last year, is the Haywain at Ulceby Cross. |

Sorry don't have any recommendations, where we stayed was awful but i know someone who stayed at the Admiral Rodney in Horncastle?, said it was nice, I think they have a website for you to have a browse.
Good Luck and if you do find a good one, let us know |

theres a coach house in Horncastle as well, pretty good, and quite a good Italian restaurant round the corner, probably the best nearish town to the circuit, unless you travel further afield and fancy a night out in Skegness !
If the weathers good, save some money, camp ot and have a few beers and a BBQ, we will next time I think. |

You big girls blouse Dave, camp in the paddock with the rest of us Triumphs!
Great to hear your entering, bring a bike if possible you will want to cycle round Cadwell a few times to learn the way round. Andy (Spitfire No50) |

Plenty of space to pitch a tent in Cadwell Paddock.
Either way, good to see you racing again Dave. |

I've been tracked down and exposed !!
We would be camping, but all the camping gear is in storage. Including the tent. Its no fun having your whole life in storage and living at your mother-in-laws I can tell you. Its only that shiny red spitfire thats keeping me going.... and even then its a major kerfuffle to get anywhere.. (for instance.. the trailer has to be stored in pieces in somebody elses lockup. So I have to put it back together everytime I want to use it !) Anyway.. I dare say we'll stay a little longer the evening before this time... bring some beer, and a barbecue... and I'm looking forward to a track walk... (I know of a foldup bike that I can borrow that I might bring too) cheers Dave. (Spitfire 47!) Last edited by DaveStyles; 24 Aug 2004 at 16:39. |

The Black Horse at Donington On Bain (01507-343640)
A great country pub with good simple food. Dirt cheap, 5 mins from Cadwell, trailer space, will even do early call breakfasts (with some sweet talking). The only problem is that it's where the smart people book, so it may already be full. |

We always use the Admiral Rodney in Horncastle. There are some good restaurants in the town and you can stop off before Cadwell.
