Race Track Builder

Brendon Pywell, the man behind Bob's Track Builder, has created a new program called Race Track Builder. It looks like a massive improvement on BTB that I could never get used to using and is faster and you can now import Google Earth terrain and build a track directly onto it. Will definatly be giving this a try when it's released. He also released a video where he goes into detail of the new features and interface.

Good to see PC builders beating what was done in '09 on PS3.

People who purchased Bobs track Builder will get a discount, according to the facebook page. No prices announced yet I don't think.

How do you purchase? I've been looking around the website and can't find a "purchase" button?

I will totally pay for this thing.

BTB was 59.95 AUD. RTB isn't available yet.

The timing couldn't have been much better for me, awesome news! For the past year or so, whenever the inspiration kicked in, I have been working on a project that definitely is my most ambitious attempt yet - and by a long shot.

It's a vast facility with suitable layouts for almost every form of racing imaginable, all the way up to the about 10km long endurance track. I'm trying to develop it to the point where I'll be 100% happy with every single little detail, and I finally think I'm about to reach that goal from a layout point-of-view. There is still a lot of infrastructure (roads, stands etc.) to be designed, but I might post some pictures soon so I can get other opinions whether the layout still needs some changes.

My ultimate goal is to build the whole thing for Assetto Corsa, and the Race Track Builder software surely looks to be the perfect tool to make that dream a reality. Can't wait for it to be released.

PS. I think I'll post some other tracks too, because I have quite many designs piled on my computer and I can't say I've been too active to post them here for the past couple of years

Do we know what games this is compatible for?

Can't wait for this. My interest has waned because I really felt it'd 'topped out' on BTB. I could make some more advanced stuff, but it wasn't worth the time and the effort, to be honest.

This, however, looks so much easier to use!! It should never have been as hard as it was to build terrain and such on BTB. This looks a breeze, and i'm only about 15 minutes in.
