Oddball colours....
I was sent a couple of pictures of the Lamborghini Gallardo at the weekend... from someone who wanted to buy one in a similar colour. He doesnt seem to care about resale value....
... just take a look at the colour he wants... Verde Ithaca it is called... It looks a really pretty colour, although I doubt the images really do it justice... but at A$400k for the thing... I would go more conservative than this.... |

Surely the point of supercars like this is to get noticed, and it certainly does that. It's not a colour I'd want on a family hatchback but I have to say it does suit the Lambo.

There's a Diablo somewhere round here in a wonderful metalic purple- looks stunning!

Now that is cool! Change the wheels for something a little shinier, tho...
The purple is awesome and always reminds me of those little chocolates you get at Christmas There's a great orange too... you can see it on the wall posters in the third photo. |

My sister used to have a fiat 125 that colour! Best anti theft device I ever knew. If anyone other than her was driving, people in our town would report back to her!

I love it in that colour! (I would prefer blue though) I'd love a Gallardo, its one of the few supercars that can be used everyday, and its quite small too so I bet its easy to drive.

Would prefer a Porsche 996 Turbo myself, never been a Lambo fan. Raced one home last week, it sounded gorgeous when he opened the throttle though.

I agree, I heard one accelerating up a steep hill, it was absolutely marvellous as it revved right out

actually unlike many cars, a Gallardo in a strong colour doesnt have a problem shifting off of a forecourt

It's not too outrageous for a Gallardo. I think I'd prefer it in that colour than a Ferrari 575 in yellow (that is what is parked behind it isn't it?).

(i like yellow ferraris...) When i lived in Wilmslow I used to see a deep metallic purple Countach fairly regularly, it looked pretty good blasting along framed by the brighth green of the trees and leaves blowing out around it - it looked like a car ad.

i'd never sell a gallardo, so i don;t think that concerns him. i'd have mine in either that colour, yellow or purple.
