kartingdad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
NWFF BRSCC Newsletter?

Where is it? I would have thought that after stopping the last post 86 race in record time due to a red flag(and under the 50% distance rule without a restart) there would have been time to complete the newsletter in the time saved.

Not getting at anyone, cos I know its all done by volunteers, but I've got a 95 Swift to sell for goodness sake and its in the for sale section!

If you need to discuss why the newsletter isn't ready call me 07971 629164 and I will tell you about the mega 95 Swift we have for sale. LOL.

BTW, please don't construe the above to be an advert, any of you moderator type people.

I've modded your ad to slow the claimed laptimes a bit. Admittedly this slowing happened when you inserted your portly frame into it rather than your speedy offspring.

You will have to wait a bit though, as firstly I am spending so much time explaining to people why you haven't been replying to Teng Tool winners emails and secondly Tom Dooley is still in hospital, so I can't get it printed just yet.

I suppose there should be a thirdly, so here it is.

I haven't finished it yet and David Bailey's mega contribution won't be completed until Thursday.

And yes, we are all volunteers, so please get off our backs and go annoy blue nose, or darcym, or somebody else.

Kind regards Andy,

Diz

What Teng Tools emails?

Your'e just trying to put a spanner in the works Diz.

And there's no point in me annoying Blue Nose.

I leave that to the experts, the masters of 'Less than half a qualifying/less than half a race/full money BRSCC.

You'll never know what I originally said, but i bet you could have a guess. I dare you to post what you think I said Diz....LOL

I think you put up an accurate description of the race officials and unread blue books.

From the blue book:

J.5.4.3 - If a race has to be stopped after the leader has completed more than 2 laps but less than 50% of its duration (or 75% in the case of National A or International events) it will be considered as the first part of a two part race. Cars will be restarted from a grid set out in the finishing order derived as J.5.4.4 and the final result will be the order of finishing at the end of the restarted race unless championship Regulations specify otherwise.

J.5.4.4. If a race has to be stopped after the leader has completed 50% of its duration (or 75% in the case of Nat A or Int races) it will be considered to have finished. The finishing order shall be based on the order of crossing the finish line at one lap less than at the time of first showing the red flag, and only cars which are under their own power at the showing of the red flag will be classified.

Now, the red flag was out well after the ten minute mark, but the results went back to 9m something as per the above rule. So it appears that the right decision was made.

I wasn't there, but I know a man that was. Allegedly (and I might have been misinformed) but total time on track was 9 minutes = less than 50%.

I won't go into details 'cos at the end of the day its not my beef, but I have come across this situation before first hand.... and still have not recieved a polite or coherent response from the official concerned despite a couple of emails which failed to elicit the courtesy of a reply.

Still, I'm only a customer after all.

And as for you, isn't it time for you to disappear to Florida again so we can all have some peace. Don't forget to take your camera or Mrs Diz says you will be dead meat.

The results were declared at 9m 26s (I think) - five laps. The leaders were onto their seventh lap at the time of the red flag, so clearly more than ten minutes must have elapsed.

You're only the Dad of two customers, not a customer yourself.
Anyway Mr Perfect, I PM'd you a few weeks ago for your new address. No reply received, so even if the newsletter was done, dusted and posted, one wouldn't be plopping on your doormat.

For all non recipients of my rather splendid newsletter, there is quite a witty joke in this issue. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to post jokes in club single seaters. It is a funny one though.

Race 9 finished at 18.23, so there wouldn't have been time. Admittedly, this wouldn't have been known at that time.
Now if there had have been a restart ** we would probably be reading another thread about "why was the earlier race restarted, as it meant we lost our race after hanging about all day".

** And you would probably have made another rubbish start anyway.

I knew I'd regret that... An amusing joke but you'll have to wait for your NW newsletter, available from all good newsagents.
