What tyres for cold weather?
Just prep'ing my Caterham for the Plum Pudding races at Mallory. The weather looks like it's going to be just above freezing but dry. I was considering putting full tread list 1A tyres on the front, so the tread might move about more and get a bit of heat in?? But I couldn't really put full tread on the rear as Gerrards eats rear rights - so the front would be 5mm-or-so higher than usually (I can't really be bothered to muck about with ride height...). Any thoughts?

Graeme dear, try round black ones - one on each corner should be fine
See you on Boxing Day! Sheila |

My mate uses Yoko A032Rs on his road going Caterham. He says they give good traction when its brass monkey weather and only improve when you give it full bananas and they get some heat in them. Spookily enough, I find the same on my D-type and swear by them in cold weather... although mine are considerably bigger than the ones on his Caterham. :-)
