NBS on Motors TV

Change of plan, MotorsTV are bringing the darlingtonraceway.com200 live this Saturday and 6pm GMT. Which is great!

Just a little worried that their homepage asks you to asks questions to their commentators on their forum - does this mean we won't get the FOX crew and end up with Carlton Kirby?

Oh wrong button! Still relevant on it's own though

Was excellent-shame about the rain delay though!

Still I don't mind, It was great to see the faces behind the voices we've been hearing for so long.....and some of the features and banter between the commentators/presenters was hilarious!

Don't know what it is about Motors TV though.....the only other live event from them this year was the Daytona 200 bike race, which was......rained out The curse continues then.

Oh well.........roll on Talledega for the next live BUSCH attempt!

Your talking about the Vortices Effect yes?

DW says when the cars get running it causes hot air to rise and stops the rain, an geological expert says he's talking out his arse and it's just a geological oddity :-)

So Tally's the next live one then, oh, me remembers a 28 car pileup there last year

Well, originally it was Bristol scheduled as next live (NEXT live??....we haven't had one yet! ) but after a few requests on their forum (have to admit, I was one of em!) all of a sudden it was changed to Talledega!

Not that I don't like Bristol.....but Plate tracks have got to take priority in my eyes!

Well, if you've got a movable satellite dish, the Bristol race is scheduled to be live on Fox Sports Europe (they usually do them live but have been giving priority to the Cricket World Cup

PAS 3R @ 43W

19850 - 3/4
17.30 GMT 22/3/03

whoops, forgot it's Fox Sports Middle East now.

You won't be able to use a Sky Digibox for this though.

But Tally will be better though, I hope they do the Daytona night race and the Texas races live too

Talladega won't be as good as Bristol. Motors TV have made a big mistake swapping races.

I did, but Bristol was better.

One crash doesn't make a great race.

If you guys are attempting to compair Dega with Bristol---you can't. It's apples & oranges.

Dega is fast- & dangerous. The plates almost eliminate any throttle control- so often it's follow the leader- who ever's turn to lead the train at the moment gets the cheese type racing. Often it's holding your breath waiting for the big one to happen. Been described as juggling a chainsaw.

Where Bristol is small, narrow one groove type racing where the best stands out. It takes talent to pass & get to the front. No turn taking here--- you have to be dang good to to get to the front & to stay at the front. Short tempers, daring moves, get 'em out of my way with the use of the crome horn type racing.

Both are good. But I like the excitement of Bristol. It's racing the way it should be.

Well, one week to go.

I think Motors TV's decision could be because they have a chance to be the first channel to broadcast a live "Big one" to the U.K (and probably France too) In that way, at least they get to beat NASN at something!

Although there's a chance it could backfire on them and the race is Caution free (happened last year didn't it? ) So once again NASN will get there first!

na, last year was 25 cars!
It was the WCS that went caution free in the second race of the year, their spring race had a 19 car biggie too.

I won't spoil it for you, but make sure you watch the Texas NBS whenever it's on

Talladega is at 7pm.

Motors TV is not in competition with NASN to show the 'Big One'.
