The Final list
The final entry list for this years Le Mans 24 is only 2 weeks away.
It looks like GTS and LMP1 are going to be THE classes to watch. What is evident though is the large amount of speculation hanging over the final LMP1 make-up. Is it possible that either the "works" Zytek or the Oreca Audi will not get in, will the new Dome be allowed, will Champion get their second entry or will there be a mix of golden oldies from years gone by....... I personally would love for them all to get in but as we all know this cannot be the case. I am anxious to know who you guys think will get in and also (even if you dont think they will) who you want to get in........... Also who do you guys think will be the fastest down at Paul Ricard....... Last edited by I love 04s; 14 Mar 2005 at 15:56. |

And don't forget the P2 class : the best field for this category since it started, IMHO...

Also, if the Panoz shows the form many are suspecting, even GT2 will be very interesting this year.
All in all a cracker year, I'd say. |

I doubt there will be too many disappointments in LMP1. It has been suggested that LMP1 numbers will be very close to the 2004 entry. We only have 8 confirmed by the ACO. I don't think Champion, Oreca, Dome, Zytek, RFH and Lister need worry. Why, there's even space for a Spanish Audi R8.
(Which reminds me, no sign of the Kondo Dome this year!) LMP2 and GT2, I fear, will be another story altogether. Quite a few very worthy entries will be turned down. |

lots of unknowns in all the classes, it'll be interesting to see how ACO screwed up the entry this year

As long as those LMP2s do not fall like flies again leaving the winner to rest for the last few hours like last year or yesterday.... GTs promise quite a fight both in GT1 and 2 (especially now that Aston won at Sebring!!)

In GT2 seems that ACO wants TVRs. They haven't already included into the list the LNT cars (former Chamberlain) cause the change of team, but they've already included Peninsula Racesports team, which in last year LMES hasn't showed decent performance. For me is more of a signal that there is an open door also for LNT, which performed well in Sebring, climbing the GT2 field up to the 4th position before retiring.
In LMP2 Belmondo will get at least an entry... French team, French hybrid car, and Ford support... do u need more to appetize ACO? Not sure Rollcentre can hope for a second entry... not a lucky sebring for them... |

I'm hoping Team LNT get there 2 car effort into Le mans.
After all, if you walk through Houx and Houz Annex campsites you will find hundreds of them, i for one have been going for the past 2 years with the TVRcc and my dad (who owns a TVR V8S) and find it very cool to follow them in each race. I even got my TVR le-mans 2004 cap signed by the drivers of the number 81 car (bob berridge, chris stockton and Micheal Cane) |

I am sure that every time I came in from the BBQ last night to watch the race on Motorstv, a P2 was about to / was in the process of / had major technical and mechanical woes. Or was this the wine playing tricks? |

sebring is a much harder track to drive than at Le Mans. it is very bumpy, and many drivers feel that the 12 hrs of sebring is harder than 24 hrs at le mans.
I think the P2's will do a lot better at le mans. if 10 start the race, i think we will see 4 or 5 finish.. |

Is Dyson even considering Le Mans this year? With their performance at Sebring, they certainly deserve a slot if thy're interested.
It sounded like the leading Panoz GT-LM was doing pretty well for a while at Sebring. Any word on if that squad will be present in June? |
