Many happy returns for yesterday, Dave! Remember - you're not a year older, just a year less young

Hey, what if you want to vote for something that's not on the list? The Clerk of the Course often looks younger than I do, but that's only because he is one of those clean-living types (also helps he gets to hang out in the dry instead of out on the turns). And I know lots of 55-60 year olds who are great workers. I'd vote for "when you can't get the car numbers anymore", or "when even Formula Vees are too fast". I worked with one of the former at an event on the west coast, and one of the latter at Mosport, and both of them scared the be-whatsis outta me.
PS. Happy birthday, Dave! keke |

I'm sure Stan Hunt would take exception, but he is still well and truely able. I think it depends on many factors, but certainly if trackside there should be a system in place to "sensitively " remove guys who are a danger to themselves and others.

Surley observers should give up when they cant see the numbers on the cars, can't concentrate on what race is going on, needs prompting that 8 cars overtook under the yellow flag and then comes to you asking for the time it all happened....
Oh no sorry thats the entrance exam :-) |

Hey, that's me you are talking about Scorch! I vote for 2 foot high numbers on cars, every car MUST be a different colour and what's a yellow flag?

A bit of news from the BARC training day yesterday: apparently Stan Hunt has decided to hang his overalls up after 56 years on the bank. 56 YEARS?!!!! I'd have to marshal till I was 80 to match that!
