Sarah Fisher takes pole !!!!!
well sarah Fisher has created history by taking pole position for the kentucky race, she becomes the first female to take a pole position in a major open wheel motor racing event in north america, what an awesome effort.
great job Sarah now lets see if you can back it up in the race |

Hopefully she can make it thru turn one, thats all I ask for, GO SARAH! Is it me, or didn't she not have a ride at the beginning of the year? Ohh yeah, she was in the Celebrity race at Long Beach, didn't do all that great, hopefully she can do well at Kentucky.

Yeah she came in from the cold midseason, thanks to Derrick Walker closing his IRL operation at the end of 2001. Well done to Sarah, the IRL may not have the overall talent of CART but its still an achievement to beat guys like Hornish, Castroneves and De Ferran, even if its only qualifying so far.
