A Couple Of Questions.
Okay, First the 'stupid' one.
I missed out on much of the silly season hype this year, so - Where the hell is Olivier Jaque? Second one: Is Pedrossa the "next big thing?" Will he win the title this year? If so will he move up to the premier class? And if so, is that the end for Colin Edwards on a competitive bike? |

Jacque didn't manage to get a ride this year - he's the one squeezed out by Rossi in effect. At one point he was loking at Touring Cars, but that hasn't happened.
Dani Pedrosa looks promising, but I'll suspect they'll give him another year in 250s before moving him up. Edwards has done reasonably well so far, and I'm not sure he'd be the one to go if a new rider joined the Honda 6. Even if he did, Aprillia would have him back in a heartbeat, and he could end up on a Suzuki or Ducati anyway. |

Ukawa. Good rider, but he's had his time.
Jacque. Unlucky to miss out on a ride, but he showed better form in 250s than he managed in MotoGP. IMO the change to the big bikes didn't help his style. Edwards will stay in MotoGP IMO. Pedrosa is the next big thing. I can't wait until he moves up into MotoGP. I think two years in 250s will do him the world of good, then a move up into MotoGP and we may see him vs Rossi. And I think he will really give it to Rossi when he gets into the top class. Again, IMO. |

I think Pedrosa will not move to MotoGP next year, maybe in 2006. Even if he wins championship this year, I don't think he is ready for the jump.
I hope we will see some top riders of 250 next year in MotoGP: De Puniet, Porto, Rolfo, Elias, Poggi. At least some of those. |

Stoner has increased his reliability this year. He fell at wet Jerez few laps before finish when leading...but was able to finish the race.
He has been faster than Kallio |

Kallio will use the last year's KTM chassis in Assen, hasn't been able to adjust the 04 chassis for his driving style, when it suits perfectly to Stoner.

2006 seems the best time for Pedrosa to step up, as it's a big jump from 250s to MotoGPs - even more so than to the old 500s.
Although Jacque's a good rider, McCoy seems to be a bigger loss. |
