It'll be tape-delayed by 2 weeks shown March 3rd at 7pm
the same day they'll have the rockingham race

You can find eurosport schedules at www.eurosport-tv.com , click schedules, enter the username/password provided click on , click on 'new something or other'

If you have Channel 5 , I hear they wil show Busch highlights a few days afterwards

Are we implying something here? Maybe Pepsi 400, July 2001? *G*

You didn't miss much - it wasn't the Busch Series highlights at all but a rather patchy preview of this year's Winston Cup. The good news was that C5 promised Monday night highlights of all the Busch races this year, although last nights programme suggested they were a bit confused as to which series they'd actually bought! We'll have to wait and see how good their editing is as they've only given the Daytona 300 a one-hour slot next Monday.

Not so bad editing a 300 mile race than a 500 mile one!

1 hour = 70 laps (150 miles)

NASCAR - BUSCH SERIES MOTOR RAING - Round 1 - The opening round of the NASCAR Busch series comes from the world famous Daytona International Speedway. Its bound to be highly charged day as the NASCAR drivers return to the scene of the death of Dale Earnhardt, the dominant force in the series before his fatal crash last year. Now a new generation of racers will be competing for the number one spot.

As you probably know from our other posting, but for the benefit of others, Eurosport hold the European Live TV Rights to Nascar but do not show the races live because:

1) they do not like the length of them,

2) they are trying to sell them back to the broadcasters who iriginally had them and these broadcasters are not playing ball.

I can't remember any other UK channel showing Nascar Winston Cup - only Eurosport.

Sky used to show Busch series...

Those with steerable dishes may be able to pluck it live from the US Armed forced network.

Other wise wait till MARCH 3rd for a 60min highlight show on Eurosport.

I really feel for you all in the UK. As big as the UK is into motorsport, some network should show these races live--especially the Daytona 500. The Daytona 500 is one of the crown jewel events in the motorsports world.

Found it, Hotbird, scrambled in PowerVu.

Strangly enough I've just watched the Nascar Busch race LIVE - on Fox Sports Mid East of all places with loads of TNT logo's on!

Perhaps could one of our US Members be kind enough to confirm if it was on Fox Sports in the US - or TNT as advertised?

Lars would have liked it, another DE Jr benefit - but he had to work hard this time

That's funny----Lar's isn't a Jr fan-
Lars is into Kenseth & Jarrett. He's Mr Ford.
I'm the DE diehard & Jr fan.

MY OPINIONS of the FIX & Jr's win at the Pepsi 400.

I do not believe that NASCAR fixed anything. Jr had the car that day. IF there was any fixing happening- it was the other drivers. EVERYBODY loved DE- They have watched as Jr went through his grief---Maybe they didn't try as hard as usual---Maybe even UNCONSCIENCE choices NOT to race as hard that day, as they usually would. They all wanted Jr to do well & overcome any grief that he might have had left in him.
If you are looking for fixes---then you go talk to the drivers---they control the outcome of racing far more than NASCAR does. There wasn't one driver interviewed after that wasn't thrilled for Jr. Not one of them said "damn---I wanted to win" What does this say? It says that deep down inside----they all wanted Jr to win.

& besides---DEI/RCR cars have PROVEN to do AWESOME at the restrictor plate races. Their record stands for itself.

(NASCAR addicted woman's take)

I'll assume that you mis-understood my English sence of humour Roselady3 - it was a joke, tounge in cheek etc.

About that race today, he had to work hard didn't he? Not many people could drive 60+ laps on one set of tyres and still win

Well- NO I didn't understand you were joking. In spite of being 60% English- I have always had a hard time understanding the humor from across the pond.

I guess I just get a little tired of hearing about the FIX or the CALL for these races.

Jr DID have to work for his win today. NOBODY handed the win to him. In fact I would venture a guess that the Busch guys would be a bit harder on him. They have to be getting an attitude against all the Cup guys coming down & winning all their races.

Sato, it's quiet expensive. For example, you'd need a FTA receiver (a Sky Digibox will not do) that will allow tuning into non-standard frequencies.

I have a Humax 5400 receiver with a motorised 80cm dish, total cost was about £600.

The biggest problem is knowing where the feeds are, they don't exactly tell you where they are

I'm looking around at present for the 500....

The 500 is broadcast by NBC so it mightn't be scrambled! Good luck in finding it !
