Rallycross Challenge Europe 2015 \\ Calendar

After a great 2014 season for the Rallycross Challenge Europe we're al looking forward to the 3rd season of the RCE in 2015. We're pleased to present the provisional calendar for the 2015 RCE season!

The provisional calendar consists of eight rounds in seven different countries and has three different circuits compared to the 2014 season. The first newcomer is the Duivelsbergcircuit in Maasmechelen (BE). After their absence in the RCE last year 'Devilspeak' will host another exciting round of rallycross action in August.

The second newcomer is again a familiar circuit for the RCE: the Wachauring in Melk (AT). As host of the first ever RCE round in 2013 the circuit is more than ready for some spectacular rallycross in August.

The third newcomer is completely new to the RCE: the Sport Club Maggiora in Maggiora (IT). This Italian former Autocross circuit is relatively new to the world of rallycross. The organizers are delighted to host the extra challenging final round of the 2015 season in October.

Next to the new circuits on the calendar the RCE will be back for rallycross excitement on Circuit des Ducs (FR), Autodrom Sosnova (CZ), Vilkyciai Race Complex (LT), Circuit de Kerlabo (FR) and the Eurocircuit (NL) in 2015.

Rallycross Challenge Europe 2015 \\ Official calendar

In 3 months’ time, the 3rd season of Rallycross Challenge Europe starts. In the meantime, the calendar has become official and we can announce that this season of Rallycross Challenge Europe will consist of 7 races in 7 different countries.

This includes a race at the new rallycross circuit ‘Sport Club Maggiore’ in Italy! Besides a season with 7 different European races, this year also sees the introduction of a new class to the RCE: the Supertouringcars.
In addition to the well-known circuits of last year, such as Circuit des Ducs (FR), Autodrom Sosnova (CZ), Vilkyciai Race Complex (LT) and the Eurocircuit (NL), this years calendar features no fewer than three new circuits.
Contrary to the provisional calendar, the Circuit Kerlabo (FR) has not been included in Rallycross Challenge Europe this season.

Rallycross Challenge Europe 2015
2/3 May Circuit des Ducs France
27/28 June Autodrom Sosnova Czech Republic
11/12 July Vilkyciai Race Complex Lithuania
08/09 August Duivelsbergcircuit Belgium
15/16 August Eurocircuit The Netherlands
29/30 August Wachauring Austria
10/11 October Sport Club Maggiora Italy

Supertouringcars
New this season is the class of Supertouringcars. This class will be introduced alongside the Supercars and Super1600's and is an extension of the familiar Touringcars class. Thanks to the new regulations, it is possible for more drivers to participate in this European Championship with their current cars. As a result, the Supertouringcars can become a very competitive class in the next few years, both for the public and for the drivers themselves. Within the Supertouringcars, a subdivision is made between the +2000cc and -2000cc classes, in order to keep the competition as exciting as possible, and to give the current Touringcars a suitable place in the championship.

The general regulations, including the new rules for the Supertouringcars, can be found via this link.
If I am correct Supertouringcars are cars like Belgian Supernational +2L and -2L

Good entry.
But they didn't all enter for the Challenge. National championships where also involved and they could decide not to subscribe for RCE

Sounds like it'll be fun! How heavily modified is the Swift now? Is it one of the Swift class cars that's been upgraded or is it a totally different car?

Same car i used in the 2013 Swift Champs, the Original yellow swift, engine has been upgraded, got short ratio dogbox, shocks and suspension have been upgraded,it's been widetracked, body has had some wider parts and it's about 45kg lighter.
Powerwise we chose for relaibility over raw power, not worth travelling hundreds of miles if you can't trust the engine, tops up somewhere between 175 and 180bhp,but quite good torque wise,so 20 to 40 horses short of the factory engines.
But we are getting closer and closer to the rest all the time,as Kerlabo proved, only the driver can do with some more practice, confidence and weightloss

That's not a bad power return - is it still a 1.6 litre engine? If so that's even more impressive if you're not pushing the limits of available power.
