Maserati at Le Mans
Remember you heard first on this Forum! I was at the Goodwood Revival Meeting on Sunday and was fortunate to be a guest of Maserati UK. During which I had a chat with the MD of Maserati / Ferrari UK, and asked him about Maserati at Le Mans.
He said he expected to see Maserati at Le Mans by 2005 and it was likely that they would use a modified Maserati version of the Ferrari Enzo. |

Unfortunately I cant make it to the classic, firstly because I was going to Eurodisney with the kids that weekend ( Sad I know but essential occasionally) but now because I have broken my leg and will be in plaster that weekend. I cant see the wife driving me to LeMans somehow - maybe next year!

It will be nice to see the Maserati, but I would prefer if it was the Ferrari instead........

Whatever, a new manufacturer is always welcome at LeMans especially an Italian one as that always breeds passionate support rather than the rather cold approach of the Audis (not meaning to run down a fabulous car)I personally would rather see a Maserati, they have a wonderful racing heritage.
Just for speculation who would we like to see driving for them? My pick would be Luca Badoer and Luciano Burti as I feel they would really deserve it and would be a formidable team. |

a good choice ... after the work they do for Ferrari .. maybe that's the way to thank them ... win a win at LeMans ... Italian cars wining at LeMans .. after .. more than 30 years .. in fact .. in 2005 40 years ...
