Koni Regassing

Can any one advise me on the equipment required to do your own Koni regassing. What do I need and where do I get it?

THR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
has it got like a car tire valve in the top to put the gas in?

if it has you need nitrogen, and the more pressure u put in makes the shock behave differently. there is a special valve too from the bottle to the shock

What type of Koni damper is it?

My 3011's just have a bolt holding the gas in. I have no idea how the get the gas in there.

Small bolt 3011 they are. I do believe though it is possible to get the equipment to do it.

If its like Ohlins it is they have a bolt covering a little rubber skin. YOu then have a pressure regulator on your nitrogen bottle that has a line to a hyperdermic type needle, you just put that into the rubber skin and unscrew the pressure regulator until its where you want.

Ive not done it myself because my dad normally tests and rebuilds the dampers but Ive watched him do it a few times. Rebuilding dampers is a very oily sticky job thats no fun.

YOur probably best of speaking to Dave Phillips at Aurock or speak to SPA Dynos.
