In this month's Racer magazine, he was asked the following question:
From a driving perspective, compare your Winston Cup car to a CART or IRL car? Robby: "The driver makes less of a difference in Winston Cup. Look at Michael Waltrip. He goes 300 some odd races without a victory and then gets a good car and wins the first race he's in." LOL! Uhh, Robby, Michael Waltrip thanks you for your inept driving in that 500. He might not have won if it weren't for you causing "the big one" which took out almost half of the grid and defending champion Dale Jarrett. I would be very receptive to his opinion on which car was the most difficlut to drive, if he replied with something technical. But basing it on the fact that Michael Waltrip won the 500, with the known fact above is simply a laugh. Especially when he has backed his share of Winston Cup cars in the wall and since Michael Waltrip has always been good at the restrictor plate tracks. BTW, Steve Kinser, who has raced in the IRL and Winston Cup, said a couple of years ago on RMP2nite that a Winston Cup car was more difficult to drive. |

god, what an idiot. Now he's resorted to bashing other drivers(F1 style). He should just leave winston cup and return to Cart where he has a slight chance at winning.

a slight chance of winning in cart?.....robby would even struggle in IRL, no US F2000......
he should just shut up until he does something decent in a championship where he competes for the full season.... |

Hey, WreckinRobby, question for you. Exactly how many Winston Cup wins do YOU have? Just takes a good car to win right? Driver makes no difference in Winston Cup hey? Well, tell me one thing, why didn't YOU win the 1993 race at Talladega, when you were in the Robert Yates Texaco Ford Thunderbird, after Davey Allison was killed in that helicopter crash? The Yates car was, and is one of, if not the top car in the Winston Cup Series! Why didn't you win Talladega that weekend? Oh that's right, you have to be able to drive it for more than 17 to 20 laps WITHOUT stuffing it into a wall, which you did, all by yourself! Guess it takes a little bit more than just good equipment, like someone that actually KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE as stock car!
