Maserati return with F60!
Maserati could return to the GT world, with a Ferrari! Plans have come out that Maserati will run a Maserati V8 engine designed around the F60 chassis. Plans for the F60 will go ahead as Ferrari have hinted they could make in excess of 350 F60's and that are planning to build and run 25 Maserati supercars rather than building a 4.2 litre Coupe GT. Stefan Ratel is keen to ensure cars like the 550 and Viper don't become obsolete because of the rule changes. Shame, I would have liked to of seen the 3200GT racing.

1.) This smells like another rule bending in favor of Ferrari (as usual, as it has been done in the last 50 years).
2.) This also smells like one of the gossips that surface every six months or some about some sort of involvement by Ferrari with sportscar. Just see my many postings on this regard in the Sportscar/GT forum. |

Ferrari vetoed (as is there want!) increasing the minimum homologation run to 100 for the FIA sportscar series. Which seems odd if they are going to make 350 F60s. However if they are going to make some Maserati specials then this might make sense.
Another point: Why not use the F60 engine? What is the f60 engine (I'm sure I knew) |
