Peter Harding should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Birkett 6 hour relay

Just sent out the tickets for this meeting at Silverstone 28th Oct.
Number of marshals has increased each year and it looks like we will have enough for breaks on a rota basis for each area.
Just as well as I think we are organising meal vouchers and you need time to spend them.
I guess that if you sign on early you can use them for breakfast but that will put pressure on the diner and you might have queues.
More teams allowed on track this year so it will be even busier.

Got mine too. Missed this last year (holiday) but thoroughly looking forward to my second Birkett - great fun.

Last time we operated 3 flags per post and rotated at 20 min intervals. I assume you're intending the same sort of thing this time?

If yoiu're on my post you'll stand still with one flag and face up track (if on blue) or down track (if on yellow) like everybody else and do your job!!

LOL. Yes, we did that, but with 3 of us we got a break too to recover from blueing! On two occasions I went to chat to the nearby Rescue unit, and on both of them they got scrambled within seconds. I didn't go back again until after the race.

If I am unfortunate enough to be the third man on your post Clive, perhaps I could use the Green, Red, White and Orange and Red?

OK you noticed the deliberate mistake. Thought you may have spent so much time on the start line you may have not noticed?

It's just occured to me, this will be my first single-handed trip to Silverstone in 21 years of marshalling! Where's sign-on and can I take my bike to my post (assuming it's not near Start/Finish)? I know I wont be allowed on track, but on the perimeter roads?
I should get out more!

Sign on is in the paddock bar... go through the main entrance.. straight on over the first bridge then bear left and over the second bridge.. you will then need to turn left where you will find a large fenced off car park.. go in that car park and find the paddock bar/diner on the far side. As for taking your bike to post you should find you can park quite close but ask at sign on where the best place is for your post.. Yours Roy

Don't want to be picky but there are 3 vehicle, 2 pedestrian, and a tunnel...

(the old vehicle bridge is only for pedestrains now)

We should be there, spectating only though unfortunately might not get to see it all as got to get back to London for a party in the evening. Not much info on the Silverstone site though (not listed under the calendar...) - can anyone point me in the direction of more information, please?

Well the birkett is run by the 750mc so you might be able to find some more information on their website, although the finals are still for the mallory meeting just gone.

It should be a relatively early finish.

Will have a look there then, thanks - was just surprised not to even see the date on the Silverstone website.

Do you know what time it's expected to finish then please?

The silverstone website is a bit annoying since they updated it, I have terrible trouble trying to find stuff on it!

Not sure about the finish time at the mo!
