Lakeside Raceway under threat

Thanks to noise complaints from just two whingers, race meets have been cancelled at Queensland's Lakeside Park Raceway. Just two! How is this possible that just two people can shut down racing?
Cruise & track days are unaffected at this point. So, please, everyone who has an interest in keeping one of the best tracks in the country open needs to contact any or all of the following people.

About 5 years ago when someone who moved into an area famous for it's speedway track complained about the noise. The judge ruled that 'This was the nature of the area' and the complaint was thrown out. Either Ipswich or Colchester, Essex UK I believe.

Might be worth researching. Made sense. Dick D.

There ia a proposed change to planning legislation, to protect live music venues, where, as I understand it, it will now the developers responsibility to ensure that new properties have adequate sound insulation, and that the legitimate activities of existing venues are allowed to continue.


That may have some relevance to the current situation.
