SNH should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does anyone know if Jan Lammers was involved in a serious car accident a number of years ago on public roads in the Netherlands?

I don't remember Jan Lammers having a serious road accident but I do remember it happening to Gerhard Berger in '83, immediately prior to his F1 career. He broke his neck and was very fortunate that 2 cars back were a pair of leading spinal injuries specialists.

I'm absolutely sure that if Jan Lammers was involved in a serious car accident on public roads here in The Netherlands, I would have heard of that.
But since I have not, I assume it's not true.

I first met Jan Lammers 34 years ago when he was working at Rob Slotemaker's skid school.
Later, in my capacity as president of SNAP, Stichting Nederlandse Autosport Promotie (Dutch Autosport Promotion Foundation), I spoke to him several times.
After SNAP ceased to exist, contacts were lost and I haven't seen him for more than 10 years now.

What I meant by saying I would have heard of that, was that if this was true, I would have read it in the newspapers or magazines.
Unless I have missed it completely (which is almost inpossible ) in which case I would like to see some evidence.

That's a shame - it would have been great if you could have got him to come on here and tell us all about ill handling Volvo estates!
