Aspar should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Kovalainen to Nissan World Series

I don't know whether this has been already discussed here - at least I didn't see any thread - but here goes:

It was announced couple of days ago that Heikki Kovalainen will drive next season in the Nissan World Series alongside another Renault man Franc Montagny in the Gabord Competition team - team that won the championship last year with Ricardo Zonta. He also had a option to drive in the F3000 with Arden, but Renault decided that Formula Nissan more suitable series.

I was hoping he'd do a second year in F3 to really cement his position.

What is interesting is that Renault have placed him into Telefonica World Series rather than their Renault V6 series. I think that whilst Heikki would have enjoyed a second year of F3, and it would have been great to have him around for another season, he's been "fastracked" towards F1. Remember he has only had 2 seasons in cars.
Heikki was, in many peoples opinion, the stardriver in British F3 last season. In the second half of the season he scored more points than anyone else in the series, plus unlike some finish racing drivers, he has a personality. So he wont be a McLaren driver!

lol kimi is the real deal and that my good chap is universally agreed , heiki still has to drive a race in f1 .. no matter how potentially good xyz may be comparisons with a driver whos currently in an f1 car and scoring points regularly are inappropriate
