V8 Fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Chinese V8 Team.

Quote from Average Punter @ Conrod.

Word from my local Chinese restaurant last night that a new consortium of businessmen from Beijing is looking to get hold of a Level 2 franchise for the 2004 season.

"With a home race we would be silly not to try" said team principal Wun Hung Lo.

With drivers of the calibre of Hoo Hung Hoo in Formula Hyundai and the emerging stars Sum Yung Boy and Wun Long Chin, there appears no shortage of steering talent in the country.

"From an engineering perspective, we are confident that we can find somebody amongst our population of 1.2 billion that can get a few extra noodles from a V8" he said.

Backers for the team are rumoured to include the Hang Sing restaurant from Blayney and a small laundry off a side alley in Dixon Street...

Wow, HSBC's involvement would really raise the profile of V8 Supercars. Imagine a F1 sponsor racing in V8 Supercars!

Tricky, I think you will find that there are plenty of candidates looking to fill those seats. For starters, Ji Yoo Suk and So Doo Yoo, as well as Choo Ma Fat and Sum Dum Prik, are all in with a shot, from what I've heard.

Isn't Sum Dum Prik currently driving a V8 Supercar under an alias? What's his name again????

Maybe the 2 HQ drivers from Darwin last year the LING Brothers should be entered.

Funny thing was they were sponsored by Optus World - True Story.

Has a nice Ling Ling to it.

I Haven't made up my mind if I do or Dont like the idea of the v8's going to china. I was there in 87 at age 15 , with my family. All I can remember from Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Hong Kong, was millions of Bicycle riders.

I can just see it now the chinese round of the AUSTRALIAN v8 series in 2004, Skaifey on a blinder one lap in the pits then nest removing handle bars, and body parts from the grill of the HRT Commode.
