Nope, it was Mayr-Melnhof who crashed #25, Und Taxis never got to drive but was taken away by local authorities for having a drink in the pits, which is a no-no.

in some country, you can live without a government for more than a year, but can't drink in a race place.....

I hope we get to see more international championships at Slovakia Ring, it's a nice little track.
Nice work by the Mercedes teams this weekend going two for two. |

The same N24 Gallardo was at Paul Ricard, did qually but did not race. Could be to do with avoiding fines for only arriving with 1 car per race weekend

Pretty good 2 races, a lot of punctures fro various cars, BTW what happened to Dunlop?? Seems Slovakiaring is a Mercedes-friendly track, nice to see the Mercs doing well as the Benz teams have been struggling a tad with the SLS!

I really enjoyed the races. And the Slovakiaring is just awesome, finally a good new track!

Those Ferraris getting almost airborne on that 'hump' was amazing. And a nice wide, fast track.
Should definitely be a keeper for next year. Good infrastructure for other types of races too. |

I definitely second the positive noises for the new track. I think I need to plan next year's trip out there!
For those who asked why BoP? Watch those 2 races... |

Three Corvette teams in the championship last year, including the championship winning drivers... zero this year, says everyhing you need to know about the 'success' of BoP - no idiot in their right mind would campaign a car with those "adjustments" we've seen. Meanwhile the two teams that are easily running away with the 2011 championship have cars with restrictor double as big and (formerly) lightest weight.
Even the leftover Callaways in ADAC GT Masters with 70kg lighter ballast are drooling in the midfield |

For sure FIA will come in eventually and get them to flat that hill a bit.

So Spa couldn't have been their reason for not taking the black car. |

As far as I'm aware... the black car at Spa wasn't the one that got crashed, it was the one which lunched its engine massively on the way down to Eau Rouge.

Which normally races in FIA GT3 The black one blew a gasket with Peter Kox. And the Stucks one is probably the only healthy one after Spa and Spielberg, so it raced in Slovakiaring. I totally forgot there were 3 of them at Reiter! |
