ROC Sign new TV deal
News from yesterday
ROC have now signed a new TV deal with Five and others. Programs will now be two hours long shooting footage as seen on the race day in order so all classes will get coverage. AMG will also be covering the 2008 season. |

Are you sure each programme will be 2 hours long! There will either be heaps of commercial breaks or they will be showing the crowd parking their cars for 1/2 hour.

Especially if you water the car park and watch them all try to get out again... |

Two hours is too long in my opinion, but if it is on five then BRING IT ON!!!. Things can only get better as rallycross promoters push the boundaries to new horizons.

It will also be on Five at a much better time, I don't know the time yet but i've been told it's better but anything will be better than 4am or whatever it is on at now. Programs are going to be run as they are on the day in race order, I'm assuming that means that every race will be covered if it's two hours long and a few interviews thrown in more than likely. |

When you think about it, if you take time of the averts, the intro, and the credits out of the equation, there will not be much more than 90-100 minutes of actual show time. So there should be enough footage to put out a good programme featuring all the classes. |

Will this include stockhatch/procar 1600 as this class is now not part of the open championship but the MDA championship.

I think so. Press release will probably be going on the ROC website when AIS is over which will explain.

I would think all classes will get some good coverage in the Motors TV, two hour programme, but maybe not so much of the Procar, Mini's, & Revivals, in the Chanel 5, one hour show.
