If Ritter can pull this one off then he deserves to go to the top of the class...
I don't think a driver yet has managed to cope with the way Marcos likes his car set up. Remember poor Greg Crick at the Paperclip a few years back??? Russell and Paul Weel have struggled too. Mr Ritter here's your big chance! Having said that the dollars would have to be on them, with a couple of side bets on Bargs/Frosty (as long as Bargs can stay out of trouble) Also in the mix would have to be Richo/Richo and Garth/RaceCam |

I actually believe the Walden car will struggle to qualify at Sandown and Bathurst, primarily the experience level of the driver, but also some niggly technical problems that seem a common theme.
You would think a driver would not like to assist in financing an operation by introducing personal sponsors to gain a drive, while the very real possibility the car could be back in the truck and on the way home on Saturday night, after missing out on qualifying exists..... |

sandown is a short circuit, so i think they will all qualify because it is a pretty basic track.

Used to be a Falcon track for the sprints because of more HP but not for the long stuff. Now it's even worse.
Look for a Holden whitewash so ... 1. Skaife/Kelly (if Skaifey keeps his concentration for once this year) 2. Murf/Rickler 3. Tander/Cam 4. Richards x 2 5. Wills/Stokell 6. Marcos/Ritter 7. Bright/Weel 8. Rusty/McLean 9. Brock 10. Bowe/Brad Love to be more optomistic but ... |

Sandown is quite an even track for both makes, so any who is saying its a holden track is most definatly barking up the wrong tree
Last year ambrose was 30 sec ahead when a driver error and some bad luck conspired against them prev year Ambrose won every race and the prev year Lowndes was equal on points lasy year 6 fords and 4 holdens in top 10 same in 2002 its going to be a good race i would think with many variables and i would think at least one of the top 6 in the championship will be out of the hunt by the end of the weekend |

I agree with Peckstar, the track has thrown up an even amount of winners in the past...
2000 Radisich (Ford) 2001 T Kelly (Holden) 2002 Ambrose (Ford) 2003 Skaife/T Kelly (Holden) 2004? I think on form you can't go past Bright/Weel but form guides don't always mean wins in the enduros. |

If the race is run on pace, then i'd say it'll be between Ambrose/Ritter and Skaife/Kelly, i don't think there is really anybody else in the running.
The Sandown 500 is a pretty basic race, 2 stops and ,unless it rains, pretty straightforward, which will help out SBR. Whats the go with HRT running with #02? |

#9 Ingall/McLean
#50 Bright/Weel #1 Ambrose/Ritter #34 Tander/McConville #21 Jones/Bowe #3, #23 and #44 should be speedy, but one doubts they will be there at the end for one reason or another............... |

Ingall and Mclean will be a real strong combo.. normally you'll see Ambrose set the pace early in the longer races but then it's ingall that always seems to come home with the wet sail..
It's gunna be great to watch thats for sure. |

There are only three race seats still unconfirmed for the enduros. Garth Walden is still to find a co-driver and both seats for #43 are yet to be confirmed. It has already been said that Kurt Wimmer won't be driving the 1000 so there is still empty seats there. There is also quite a few talented drivers out there without a drive. When will these seats be filled?

Kurt Wimmer will be driving in the 1000 and it looks like his partner there will be Christian D'Agostin.
